Exploration Geologist – District-Scale Mining Projects

About the role

We are looking for an early‑career Exploration Geologist to join a high‑performance team supporting district‑scale exploration programmes in Angola. The role focuses on sediment‑hosted copper and magmatic nickel projects, requiring hands‑on field work in remote environments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct geological mapping, drill core logging, sampling and geochemical field programs.
• Support drill core processing, including mark‑up, cutting, sampling, packaging and dispatch.
• Collect and quality‑control geological, geochemical and operational data using approved systems.
• Perform field‑based measurements such as pXRF, photography and spectral analysis.
• Maintain accurate QA/QC records, databases and daily operational reports.
• Coordinate activities with contractors, technicians and service providers.
• Support environmental, social and stakeholder engagement requirements.
• Promote safe work practices and participate in risk assessments and toolbox talks.

Required profile

• Degree in Geosciences or related field (post‑graduate qualification advantageous).
• Academic focus on hard‑rock geology with practical fieldwork exposure.
• Previous exploration experience through internships, vacation work or industry exposure.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese.
• Valid driver’s licence with at least two years of driving experience.
• Willingness to work on remote sites and follow rotational field schedules.
