English and Portuguese Language Instructor

About the role

Poliglota is seeking a bilingual English and Portuguese language instructor to join its team in Luanda, Angola. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality language lessons, design structured lesson plans, and incorporate relevant cultural elements to meet the diverse needs of learners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English and Portuguese classes to individuals and groups.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans and curricula aligned with learners’ objectives.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Integrate cultural content to enhance language comprehension.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and instructional materials.

Required profile

• Proficiency in teaching both English and Portuguese.
• Strong background in education, literature, or related fields.
• Excellent communication abilities and adaptability to varied learning styles.
• Previous teaching experience; familiarity with the Angolan context is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
