Design Researcher: Data Strategist

About the role

Corgan is seeking a Design Researcher – Data Strategist to join its Hugo team. This full‑time, on‑site position works Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m.‑5 p.m., and focuses on gathering and analyzing data to inform design decisions and enhance user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user interviews, surveys, usability tests, and analytics analysis.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to define research objectives and develop comprehensive research plans.
• Analyze findings, synthesize complex data into actionable insights, and translate them into design recommendations.
• Create intuitive information designs, data visualizations, and interactive prototypes that improve user engagement.
• Develop predictive design models, analysis tools, and data strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Produce industry trend reports, geographic data comparisons, and demographic studies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human‑Computer Interaction, Information Design, Data Science, Business Analytics, Applied Statistics, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as a design researcher or in a similar role with a focus on data strategy and information design.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct user research, analyze data, and communicate insights effectively.
