Country Manager – Project Development (Angola)

About the role

Montage Commodities, a Dubai‑based international commodity trading and project development firm, is expanding its footprint in Africa. We are looking for an experienced Country Manager to lead project development activities in Angola, driving the identification, structuring and execution of strategic energy and industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, originate and develop investment opportunities across petrochemicals, refining, fertilizers, natural gas, power generation and related industrial infrastructure.
• Lead projects from concept through feasibility studies, commercial structuring, financing and execution, guiding them to Final Investment Decision.
• Establish and maintain relationships with government ministries, regulatory bodies, national oil companies, utilities and strategic partners.
• Negotiate public‑private partnership and joint‑venture arrangements, and represent the company in high‑level commercial discussions.
• Coordinate technical, legal, environmental, commercial and financial due diligence, overseeing permitting and investment approvals.
• Build and manage a high‑performing local team, ensuring compliance with Angolan laws and corporate governance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in energy, petrochemicals, infrastructure, mining or industrial project development.
• Proven track record of developing large‑scale industrial or energy projects.
• Strong network with government entities, state‑owned enterprises and private sector stakeholders in Angola.
