Child Protection Specialist (NO-3)

About the role

The Child Protection Specialist supports the design, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of child protection programmes, focusing on strengthening child protection systems. The role provides technical leadership and management support throughout the programme cycle to deliver sustainable, evidence‑based results for children.

Key responsibilities

• Support programme development, planning and management, ensuring results‑based delivery.
• Provide technical and operational assistance for implementation, monitoring and evaluation of child protection activities.
• Build and maintain partnerships and networks with stakeholders, donors and inter‑agency partners.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building within the programme.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Development, Psychology, Sociology, Human Rights, Social Work or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in child protection, case management, gender‑based violence, justice for children or related programme management.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese; additional UN language is an asset.
