Applications Engineer – DrillBit

About the role

The Applications Engineer ensures flawless execution of drilling and production projects by participating in pre‑planning, job execution, and post‑job analysis. You will work closely with Service Delivery Coordinators and sales teams to design technical job programs that meet client objectives while maximizing revenue for Baker Hughes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process and ensure compliance with all contractual terms.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery Coordinators and sales personnel to understand client well‑construction or production goals.
• Perform offset job analysis and engineering modelling calculations to assess application hazards.
• Design comprehensive job programs, including risk mitigation and contingency plans.
• Communicate any risk of not meeting client objectives through appropriate channels.
• Document calculations, simulations, and plan revisions for audit and team visibility.
• Provide on‑demand technical support during job execution and on‑call schedules.
• Compare planned versus executed jobs, capture lessons learned, and recommend procedural improvements.
• Participate in field incident investigations and ensure end‑to‑end process consideration.

Required profile

• Experience in engineering analysis and job planning for drilling or production operations.
• Ability to work across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail in documentation.
• Proactive communication skills for risk reporting and client interaction.
