Accountant (Finance & Control) – Angola

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Accountant to join our subsidiary in Angola. The role will support all finance and control activities, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and effective financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare periodic financial reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) including month‑end close and cash forecasts.
• Manage full accounting function and contribute to statutory and consolidation reporting.
• Analyse financial data and present insights in clear language for stakeholders.
• Monitor internal controls and participate in budgeting/forecast processes.
• Coordinate audit activities and assist in drafting financial statements.
• Oversee year‑end reporting, consolidation and full tax compliance.
• Streamline accounting operations and manage financial transactions.

Required profile

• BCom Honours or equivalent degree.
• 3‑5 years proven experience in finance management, accounting and statutory/consolidation reporting.
• Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Portuguese.
• Previous experience in Africa is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (data modelling and analysis).
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Consolidation reporting applications.
• Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
