Regional Sales Manager - North 2, Consumer

About the role

Shalina Angola is looking for an Area Sales Manager for its Consumer Division, covering the North 2 territory in Angola. The role leads sales operations, achieves sales and distribution targets, develops customer relationships and manages the sales team, with regular field travel and reporting to the designated office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement area sales plans and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and volume targets.
• Lead, supervise and motivate Consumer Delegates and other sales personnel, and monitor their performance against KPIs.
• Expand market coverage, product distribution and customer penetration, and build relationships with wholesalers, retailers, pharmacies and supermarkets.
• Ensure product availability, visibility, merchandising and execution of promotions at points of sale.
• Analyse sales reports, market trends and competitor activity, and prepare sales forecasts, territory plans and performance reports.
• Manage customer relationships, negotiations and escalated issues, and coordinate with Marketing, Logistics and Finance.
• Recruit, coach and develop sales staff, support new product launches and trade marketing campaigns, and monitor budgets and compliance with pricing and credit policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or Management; recognized and accredited institution.
• 5-7 years of relevant sales experience, including at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or sales management role, preferably in FMCG or consumer goods.
• Valid driving licence required or strongly preferred, and a valid work permit in Angola.
• Full-time position with frequent domestic travel in the North 2 territory.

• Knowledge of FMCG markets, trade marketing, merchandising and distributor/customer credit processes.
