About the role

The Reservoir Engineering Technical Authority is the ultimate technical expert for the reservoir engineering discipline at Azule Energy. This senior position ensures that all reservoir engineering work meets the highest technical standards and supports the company’s asset value maximisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, own, and enforce corporate standards, workflows and best practices for reservoir engineering.
• Drive continuous improvement of methodologies and tools, adopting value‑adding technologies.
• Provide expert guidance on the most complex technical challenges and act as the definitive authority on reservoir matters.
• Deliver independent assurance and quality control for critical deliverables such as dynamic model builds, history‑matching, development plans, production forecasts and reserves estimations.
• Lead peer reviews, technical workshops and gate reviews to ensure robustness before major investment decisions.
• Validate technical bases for well interventions, new wells and EOR projects.
• Coach and mentor reservoir engineers, identify competency gaps and support targeted training.
• Facilitate a community of practice for knowledge sharing and lessons learned.

Required profile

• Recognised expert in reservoir engineering with deep knowledge of classical concepts, simulation, performance analysis, fluid characterization (PVT), SCAL and well‑test analysis.
• Ability to integrate engineering insights into broader asset and corporate strategy.
• Strong communication skills to align technical teams, management and external partners.
• Proven track record of critically evaluating complex technical work and providing constructive challenges.
• Passion for developing talent and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
