Project Control & Planning Manager (Oil & Gas)

About the role

PONTICELLI ANGOLA, a subsidiary of the Ponticelli Frères Group, is looking for an experienced Project Control & Planning Manager to support its oil & gas projects in Angola. The role is contract‑based and will be based on‑site, overseeing planning, cost control and performance analysis across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and ensure compliance with project control procedures for planning, cost control, progress measurement and reporting.
• Develop, maintain and control the integrated project baseline (schedule, man‑hours, costs, milestones) for engineering, procurement, fabrication, offshore construction and commissioning.
• Monitor project progress, identify deviations, analyse trends, and propose corrective actions using Earned Value Management metrics.
• Coordinate cost control activities, budget monitoring, forecasts and variance analysis in close collaboration with the Cost Controller.
• Support the Project Manager with accurate forecasting, scenario analysis and decision‑making.
• Interface with engineering, procurement, construction, offshore and commissioning teams to consolidate planning and progress data.
• Assess schedule and cost impacts of variations and change orders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Control & Planning, preferably in oil & gas or complex EPC projects.
• Strong expertise with planning tools such as Primavera P6 or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of cost control principles and Earned Value Management.
• Rigorous, analytical, proactive and able to work effectively under pressure.
