French & English Speaking Field Finance Coordinator

About the role

The Field Finance Coordinator will lead the financial management of a mission, ensuring transparent, timely, and reliable financial information for internal and external stakeholders. This bilingual position requires fluency in French and English and will work closely with the Head of Mission and the Country Management Team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and monitor the mission’s financial strategy, policies, and internal controls in line with MSF standards.
• Manage donor funding agreements, prepare proposals, financial reports, and oversee donor contracts.
• Oversee treasury functions, including cash planning, bank account management, and supplier payments.
• Provide regular financial health indicators, cost analysis, and variance reporting with corrective actions.
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance team, ensuring capability and conflict resolution.
• Advise senior staff on financial risks and responsibilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance coordination within humanitarian or complex operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of financial policies, internal control systems, and donor reporting requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior mission leadership and cross‑functional teams.
