About the role
The Technical Support Engineer is a key member of Siemens Energy's Field Service & Tooling organization for Europe and Africa. You will be responsible for delivering technical support on gas turbine projects, ensuring safe and timely resolution of issues and contributing to business development.
Key responsibilities
- Own technical matters for assigned customers, handling both scheduled and unscheduled activities.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues to restore critical infrastructure equipment.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide excellent customer support.
- Identify business development opportunities and provide technical leadership.
- Travel overseas as needed to support customer sites.
- Assist the Field Service manager in optimizing team setup for planned and unplanned outages.
- Support digitalisation initiatives such as Primavera, SF FS Lightning, and Polaris (SAP FSM).
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of field service experience, preferably with gas turbines.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese.
- Analytical mindset with experience in turnkey project setups.
Required skills
- Operation and service of gas turbines (aero‑derivative experience advantageous).
- Problem‑solving techniques (theoretical and practical).
- Primavera project management software.
- SAP FSM (Polaris) and SF FS Lightning platforms.
