Security Operations Center Architect

About the role

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Architect will design and evolve the SOC architecture for Cyber0 in Luanda, ensuring robust monitoring, detection, and response capabilities. This full‑time, on‑site position works closely with analysts and engineers to create effective security workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and continuously improve SOC infrastructure, tools, and workflows.
• Collaborate with security analysts and engineers to define use cases and integrate threat intelligence.
• Optimize alerting, incident handling, and response processes.
• Document architectural standards and ensure scalability and resilience of SOC platforms.
• Align SOC design with regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Evaluate new security technologies and support implementation and tuning of solutions.
• Provide guidance on best practices to enhance the organization’s security posture.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of system and hardware architecture for security operations environments.
• Experience with RTL design and physical design concepts related to secure infrastructure.
• Knowledge of power‑management principles for resilient hardware operation.
• Proven experience designing or architecting SOC environments, including SIEM, SOAR, log management, and endpoint security.
• Solid grasp of network security, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC) are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to produce high‑quality architectural documentation.
