Risk and Process Safety Advisor

About the role

Azule Energy is seeking a Risk and Process Safety Advisor to provide expert guidance across Operations, Wells, Exploration, Projects, Logistics and Subsea. You will support the implementation of the company’s safety operational risk management process and process safety management framework, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and support the implementation of safety operational risk management standards across all operating units.
• Provide technical advice on risk identification, assessment, and approval of risk management plans.
• Monitor and report on risk action plan closure and barrier health assessments.
• Participate in functional risk meetings, Facility Risk Reviews and COO risk reviews.
• Deliver quality‑assured reviews of process safety events, investigations and root‑cause analyses.
• Ensure systematic identification, assessment and control of process safety hazards.
• Monitor condition of safety‑critical barriers such as pressure relief systems, fire suppression, emergency shutdown and Safety Instrumented Systems.
• Manage Changes (MoC) related to process design, operating conditions and safety‑critical equipment.
• Participate in HAZOP, LOPA and other high‑risk assessments, and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Embed IOGP Process Safety Fundamentals into daily site activities and lead or support incident investigations.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in safety operational risk management and process safety within the oil & gas or energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of IOGP Process Safety Fundamentals and industry best practices.
• Experience conducting HAZOP, LOPA and barrier management assessments.
• Ability to advise on emerging risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
