Project Surveyor

About the role

The Project Surveyor supports the successful delivery of offshore and onshore survey projects by assisting with planning, documentation, cost control, execution, reporting, and client communications. Acting as a key interface between offshore operations, project management, clients, and internal stakeholders, the role ensures operational excellence, quality compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support preparation of proposals, project plans, procedures, schedules, and documentation.
• Assist Project Managers in planning, execution, monitoring, and close‑out of survey projects.
• Coordinate activities between clients, offshore personnel, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, and support cost‑control and mitigation actions.
• Maintain accurate reporting, record keeping, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement HSE and Quality Management Systems and ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations.
• Investigate, document, and manage non‑conforming events and support Management of Change processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in hydrographic, offshore, or positioning survey operations, or equivalent technical experience.
• Strong project coordination and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, offshore personnel, and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally as required.
• Degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Engineering, or related discipline (preferred).
• Experience supporting or managing offshore survey projects (preferred).
• PMP certification or equivalent project management training (preferred).
