Planning Engineer – Onshore Oil & Gas Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our onshore oil & gas project in Angola. The role involves developing, maintaining and controlling detailed project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, baseline and maintain level‑3/4 integrated schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Define WBS/OBS, integrate engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction activities.
• Implement progress measurement systems (S‑Curves, Earned Value Management) and track field progress.
• Analyse critical path, identify bottlenecks, perform delay and what‑if analyses and recommend corrective actions.
• Load and level resources in Primavera P6, coordinating with site superintendents, engineers and subcontractors.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and lead planning review meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 6‑10 years of planning/scheduling experience in international oil & gas EPC or maintenance projects.
• Immediate availability and willingness to work on an onshore Angola assignment.
