National AIC & CFS Consultant – Remote (7‑month contract)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a National Consultant to provide technical coordination and monitoring for the Accelerated Inclusive Curriculum (AIC) and Community Feedback System (CFS) programmes in Huila and Cunene provinces. The role is remote, based on a 7‑month fixed‑term contract, and will support the consolidation of results, documentation of lessons learned, and integration of interventions into government systems.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate field‑level activities for AIC and CFS, ensuring alignment with provincial and municipal education authorities.
• Monitor implementation progress, collect data, and produce reports to meet donor and UNICEF reporting requirements.
• Facilitate community dialogues and the Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) strategy to promote parental and community engagement in education.
• Support the rollout of the “Libraries without Walls” component, overseeing the establishment of community reading spaces and distribution of learning materials.
• Document lessons learned, prepare synthesis reports, and advise on sustainability and scale‑up opportunities.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary education in education, social sciences, or a related field.
• Proven experience in coordinating education programmes at provincial or national level.
• Strong understanding of community‑based education interventions and monitoring frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage.
