Mechanical Workshop Coordinator

About the role

Saipem is seeking a Mechanical Workshop Coordinator to ensure the availability, reliability, safety and regulatory compliance of mechanical and lifting equipment on an onshore project. The role combines maintenance management, technical planning and resource coordination to support the company’s energy transition initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and control preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical and lifting equipment.
• Ensure inspections, functional testing and mandatory certification of lifting equipment.
• Manage material availability, critical spare parts and stock control in collaboration with the warehouse.
• Supervise technical execution, proper tool usage and preservation of workshop assets.
• Monitor maintenance performance and keep maintenance management systems (AMOS, SAP, Maximo) up‑to‑date.
• Support technical audits and guarantee compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Maintenance Engineering or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial mechanical equipment and lifting systems.
• Proven experience in lifting operations and equipment certification.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with maintenance management systems (AMOS, SAP MM, Maximo).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of international standards (ISO, API, ASME) and HSE requirements.
• Experience in lifting equipment certification and mechanical equipment maintenance.
