Loans (Relationship) Officer

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Loans (Relationship) Officer in Luanda within the financial services sector. The role combines client relationship management, loan assessment and sales, with a salary of KShs 20,000 plus commissions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and proactively approach potential clients to grow the loan portfolio.
• Assess loan applications by gathering documents, verifying information and making preliminary checks, then recommend and facilitate approvals.
• Monitor timely disbursement and repayment schedules, and handle loan repayments and delinquency issues.
• Market the institution's loan products and educate clients on terms and conditions.
• Meet monthly sales and disbursement targets and provide excellent customer service.
• Advise clients on financial practices and repayment strategies, identify and mitigate risks, and assist in preparing loan performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations and industry standards.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in any field.
• At least 1 year of experience as a loans or relationship officer in a Sacco, MFI or bank.
• Good understanding of loan products, financial services and credit assessments.
• Ability to work independently and meet set targets.

Required skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
