Laboratory Technician

About the role

Nestlé Angola is looking for a Laboratory Technician who will provide professional support in decision‑making processes to ensure food safety and the quality of products manufactured at the factory by adhering to the sampling plan, performing analyses in accordance with prescribed protocols, and communicating the results of all required tests conducted on products and materials.

Key responsibilities

• Promote quality awareness and strengthen the quality culture across the factory.
• Support the development of hygiene and food‑safety competencies among employees.
• Perform laboratory analyses according to established standards, methods and work instructions.
• Maintain calibration and routine verification of laboratory equipment.
• Interpret analytical results ensuring repeatability and reproducibility.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Support the Nestlé Continuous Excellence program and participate in root‑cause analysis.
• Assist with internal and external audit readiness and follow‑up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Technology or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in a laboratory or comparable analytical role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Portuguese.

Required skills

• Laboratory analysis techniques (microbiology, chemistry, food technology).
• Equipment calibration and verification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
