International Legal Consultant - Food Fortification Strategy

About the role

UNICEF Angola's Health and Nutrition Section is seeking an international legal consultant to support the Government of Angola in drafting the legal and regulatory framework for the National Food Fortification Strategy. The assignment is home-based, lasts three months and is based in Luanda.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and legal assistance to the Government of Angola in developing, reviewing and finalizing the legal and regulatory framework needed for the Food Fortification Strategy
• Ensure the framework aligns with international standards and national priorities for nutrition and food security

Required profile

• Masters degree in law or a related field
• At least five years of professional experience developing policies, strategies and guidance documents submitted to and approved by the government
• At least one year of experience providing legal assistance to government entities
• Solid knowledge of Angola's political, operational and legal context
• Fluency in Portuguese is an asset; proficiency in English for work is recommended
