About the role
The Inspection and NDT Supervisor will act as the competent person and focal point for coordinating and managing inspection activities on oil and gas assets. This fixed‑term (1 year) position ensures equipment compliance with codes, standards and client procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Perform inspections to verify equipment meets acceptance criteria of relevant codes, standards or documents.
- Undertake scheduled inspections within defined limitations and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain asset integrity by conducting regular equipment inspections.
- Interpret regulations, codes and industry standards accurately.
- Ensure compliance with Oceaneering and client procedures.
- Compile and submit inspection reports promptly.
- Review and endorse NDT or fabric maintenance reports.
- Update inspection data in internal or external databases as directed.
- Supervise Oceaneering personnel and third‑party contractors.
- Manage work scope, associated risks and report outcomes as specified.
- Assess defects or anomalies and recommend remedial actions.
- Inspect repaired work for acceptance.
- Issue status reports (daily, weekly, hand‑over) to Oceaneering or client.
- Assist in strategy reviews and development of inspection programmes.
- Contribute to detailed plans, work scopes and conduct pre‑surveys of equipment.
- Support audits (verification, client, internal) as required.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection techniques within the oil and gas industry.
- Certification or proven knowledge of API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspection.
- Certification or proven knowledge of API 570 Piping Inspection.
- Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) certification or equivalent experience.
