Geologist – Early Careers

About the role

SLB is seeking an early‑career Geologist to join its Geoscience and Petrotechnical teams. You will combine earth‑science knowledge with modern logging technologies to assess reservoir architecture and hydrocarbon potential, working both in the field and at learning centres.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate geological prospects as a core member of the geoscience team.
• Prepare surface and subsurface maps that illustrate stratigraphic arrangements.
• Generate structural models, including seismic interpretation, geological interpretation, rock‑property analysis, and time‑depth conversion.
• Perform facies modelling and create structural frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Geology.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally and adapt to varied working conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with modern logging technologies.
• Experience using seismic interpretation and rock‑property analysis software.
• Ability to work with multiple geological software systems for mapping and modelling.
