Finance Analyst – Financial Reporting & Analysis

About the role

The Finance Analyst will manage day‑to‑day finance and accounting activities, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards and local statutory requirements. You will partner with business leaders to provide insights that drive informed decision‑making and improve business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and decision support to the Area Controller and Country Manager, highlighting performance, risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate and prepare year‑end financial statements and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Monitor financial controls, identify weaknesses and support corrective actions.
• Perform detailed balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate aged items and maintain accuracy.
• Analyse actual results versus forecasts, identify variances and recommend improvements.
• Review and authorize monthly payroll processing, ensuring statutory deductions and tax compliance.
• Approve payments and bank transactions in line with company policies and internal controls.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and support effective cash management.
• Provide guidance to Country Support Leads and Operations managers on finance matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a multinational environment, preferably in Oil & Gas or Mining.
• Experience with US GAAP reporting is advantageous.
• Strong IT knowledge and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proven ability to motivate subordinates and collaborate with operations and management.
