Field Technical Analyst – Early Careers

About the role

As a Field Technical Analyst you will provide on‑site technical expertise to multidisciplinary teams, turning theoretical knowledge into practical solutions that keep wells running safely and efficiently. You will create formation evaluation logs, analyse cuttings to identify rock types and hydrocarbon presence, and monitor well parameters while maintaining sensor equipment. Extensive training will be provided to broaden your technical knowledge and hands‑on skills.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑ and post‑job support, including risk analysis for field colleagues.
• Assist in planning, preparing, executing and debriefing field jobs.
• Prepare detailed wellsite reports and documentation.
• Understand rig components and the role of various SLB product lines within the oil‑and‑gas industry.
• Continuously identify and implement best‑practice improvements in daily work.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Geological Applied Sciences, Earth Sciences or a related applied science.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong logical thinking with a keen eye for detail.
• Motivation to continuously develop technical expertise.
