Field Specialist – Directional Drilling

About the role

Join Baker Hughes' regional Drilling Services Team as a Field Specialist focused on Directional Drilling. You will work on well‑site projects, providing technical expertise, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring optimal extraction, production, and processing of energy for a diverse customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Act as project leader and mentor for junior field engineers on day‑to‑day well‑site activities.
• Provide direct instruction, supervision, and technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Advise customers and third‑party wellsite teams on product and service selection.
• Execute additional duties as assigned and ensure compliance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, legal requirements, and core values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in drilling operations, specifically Directional Drilling (DD).
• DDx experience preferred; Radiation Worker certification preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, and trainings.
