Field Services Specialist – Upstream Chemicals

About the role

Join the Upstream Chemicals Technology team as a Services Professional – Field Service Operations. You will work directly on customer sites, delivering routine water and process chemical treatment services while supporting the performance of our next‑generation chemical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and report product performance of existing programs, monitor test parameters and communicate results.
• Complete required training through the LEAD–Field Specialist Development Program covering HSE, compliance and product knowledge.
• Transfer knowledge to the organization based on field experience and customer feedback.
• Learn and eventually operate product‑line tools and services under supervision.
• Conduct field analytical work, manage chemical inventories and interpret data.
• Handle inventory reporting, ordering and delivery.
• Perform all activities in line with Baker Hughes HSE policies, legal requirements and core values.

Required profile

• Accredited qualification or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related science (beneficial).
• 3–5 years of experience in similar field operations within upstream/downstream oil‑field environments.
• Strong understanding of chemistry, materials, process flows and petroleum engineering concepts.
• Solid laboratory operations experience and a strong safety mindset.
• Ability to work independently and within diverse cultural teams.
