Facilities Manager

About the role

The Church seeks a Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of meetinghouses and other Church buildings, ensuring they support worship, ministry, and community activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing coaching, performance management, and hiring recommendations.
• Plan and execute major repairs, deep cleaning, routine maintenance, and preventive/corrective programs across the facility portfolio.
• Monitor budgets, review building expenses, and coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure cost‑effective service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and fire codes.
• Collaborate with stake and ward leaders, regional facilities managers, and vendors to address emergencies and long‑term facility needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 5–11 years of relevant experience and prior leadership responsibilities.
• Current valid temple recommend (or equivalent eligibility).
• Facility Management Professional (FMP) certification (or obtain within one year of hire).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Understanding of construction procedures, safety and fire codes, and building systems.
