About the role
SBM Offshore is seeking an Electrical Technician to carry out maintenance and preservation tasks on its offshore vessels. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and longevity of electrical assets through safe, efficient work in line with company procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, cleaning, blasting, spraying/painting, greasing and preservation of topside items such as flanges, bolts and valves.
- Maintain and adjust condition of electrical systems, equipment, UPS batteries, generators, switchboards, motors, wiring and portable tools.
- Follow authorization procedures, safe working practices and specific instructions.
- Plan and use resources and spares cost‑effectively.
- Record all maintenance actions and adjustments in the MMS system.
- Monitor performance and condition of electrical assets and ensure compliance with operating requirements.
Required profile
- Demonstrated safety awareness and ability to work on and around vessels.
- Technical competence in electrical maintenance and preservation activities.
- Ability to follow procedures and communicate activities to the Electrical Supervisor.
Required skills
- Electrical systems maintenance
