Country Manager – Angola

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Country Manager to lead its WG Kianda operations in Angola. Based in Luanda, you will be responsible for overall business performance, budget management and the development of local talent while ensuring compliance with safety, ethical and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership, overseeing people agenda, growth, development and delivery performance.
• Drive the execution of the local business plan and contribute to strategic direction.
• Ensure safety, HSSEA, technical and financial performance meet monthly and annual targets.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, company policies and Wood security standards.
• Lead and develop the management team, implementing succession and career development plans.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, acting as the primary client interface and identifying opportunities to expand service lines.
• Support nationalisation initiatives by promoting development programmes for national personnel.
• Oversee annual budget planning, preparation and implementation, and collaborate with business development on tenders and presentations.

Required profile

• Significant operational experience in a multi‑client, multi‑service environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and make decisions across all business functions.
• Strong leadership with a focus on safety, ethics and company values.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in driving business development and managing large budgets.
• Commitment to nationalisation and talent development within Angola.
