Completion Pumping Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Completion Pumping Engineer to join our team in Luanda, Angola. This resident position is based at the client’s office and involves design, review and technical support for completion programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review pumping sections of completion programmes such as OHGP, CHGP, frac‑pack/StimPAC, propped fracturing and matrix acidising.
• Review contractor pump schedules, fluid formulations and simulations (FracCADE, PackCADE, INSITE) for fracture window, pack efficiency, friction and proppant transport.
• Select carrier fluids and acid systems, run injectivity, step‑rate and mini‑frac analyses, and calculate MASP and pressure limits.
• Support programme reviews and technical presentations to partners.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years in sand control and stimulation pumping, with at least 5 years as lead or technical engineer.
• Hands‑on experience with OHGP, CHGP and frac‑pack completions, including deep‑water wells.
• Fluent English; Portuguese strongly preferred; valid BOSIET and offshore medical; well‑control certification preferred.
