Civil Works Supervisor

About the role

Africell is seeking a Civil Works Supervisor to lead on‑site construction activities for its telecommunications infrastructure in Luanda. This 6‑month contract role involves overseeing tower foundations, earthing systems, and perimeter fencing to ensure they meet engineering specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise contractors and sub‑contractors daily, ensuring compliance with design drawings.
• Conduct QA inspections at excavation, reinforcement, concrete pouring, and curing stages.
• Verify quality and quantity of delivered materials such as steel, concrete, and bricks.
• Prepare detailed progress reports, photographic evidence, and As‑Built documentation for handover.
• Enforce HSE protocols to maintain zero‑accident operations.
• Assist in obtaining building permits and environmental clearances.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising tower foundation casting and structural steel erection.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, concrete technology, and structural integrity.
• Familiarity with telecommunications site requirements, including equipment room layout, cooling, and power grounding.
• Understanding of local building codes and environmental regulations.
• Ability to interpret complex blueprints, CAD drawings, and topographical maps.
• Experience managing multiple contractor teams across different locations.
