Civil / Production Engineer – Malongo, Cabinda

About the role

Ropicons is seeking a Civil / Production Engineer to join its team at the Malongo Oil Base in Cabinda, Angola. The role involves planning, coordinating and supervising civil construction, repair and maintenance activities in a high‑HSE oil & gas environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily construction and maintenance activities.
• Supervise site teams, subcontractors and ongoing works.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and other technical documentation.
• Prepare work plans, material requirements and resource allocations.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, quality, costs and schedules.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, manpower and site logistics.
• Perform site assessments and support the development of technical solutions.
• Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, measurements and project records.
• Coordinate with project management, HSE teams, clients, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with technical, quality and safety requirements.
• Support civil, structural, drainage and general infrastructure works as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in civil construction, rehabilitation, maintenance or related projects.
• Strong site management and construction planning skills.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, scopes of work and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, quality requirements and HSE procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and standard Microsoft Office applications.
• Good organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and multiple activities simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of English for technical documentation and communication.
• Previous experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or similar high‑HSE environments is highly valued.
• Preference for Angolan nationals or foreign nationals already residing in Angola.
