Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Agricultural Inputs – Central Africa

About the role

The Chief Executive Officer will provide overall leadership, strategic direction, and financial stewardship for a leading agricultural inputs and agribusiness platform operating across Central Africa. Reporting to the Board, the CEO will drive the transformation from a fertilizer‑centric manufacturer to an integrated agricultural solutions enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute long‑term growth strategy, expanding into fertilizers, crop protection, machinery, irrigation, and specialty chemicals.
• Maintain full P&L accountability, delivering revenue, profitability, and gross‑margin targets.
• Lead commercial strategy, grow distribution networks, and forge partnerships with distributors and aggregators.
• Oversee manufacturing operations, implement lean and continuous‑improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Manage senior leadership team including CFO, COO, Head of HR, and business unit heads.
• Drive cost optimisation, working‑capital efficiency, and disciplined capital allocation.

Required profile

• Proven transformational leader with experience scaling multi‑site agribusiness operations.
• Strong track record of P&L responsibility and delivering financial results.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Experience in agricultural inputs, fertilizer manufacturing, or related agribusiness sectors.
