Business Development Manager

About the role

Yango Tech is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth with enterprise and government clients in Angola and Mozambique. You will bridge Yango Tech’s AI capabilities with customer needs across FinTech, MedTech, AI platforms, data centres, and public‑sector organisations, guiding projects from pilot to full production in regulated environments.

Key responsibilities

• Build and own long‑term enterprise accounts, managing full sales cycles for multi‑million‑dollar engagements in regulated industries.
• Develop and execute account strategies for FinTech institutions, healthcare systems, AI‑native companies, data‑center operators, and government entities.
• Navigate multi‑stakeholder environments, engaging senior officials, board members, executives, and regulatory teams.
• Identify and qualify AI use cases across payments, lending, clinical care, drug discovery, AI agents, compute infrastructure, and citizen services.
• Partner with Solution Architects to design pilot programmes that demonstrate measurable value while meeting compliance requirements.
• Lead executive presentations, technical demonstrations, and proof‑of‑concept engagements.
• Guide customers from pilot to enterprise deployment and uncover expansion opportunities across verticals.
• Monitor industry and regulatory developments and share insights with product and engineering teams.

Required profile

• 5–10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or consulting.
• Proven track record of closing complex, multi‑stakeholder deals in regulated industries.
• Experience selling to financial institutions, healthcare systems, government entities, or infrastructure buyers in Africa.
• Background in consulting, investment banking, or high‑growth technology environments (preferred).
• Deep expertise in at least one focus area (FinTech, MedTech, AI agents, data centres, or gov/city tech) with readiness to expand.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese.
