Angola M&E and Research Field Manager

About the role

STOOS Consulting is seeking an experienced Monitoring & Evaluation and Research Field Manager to lead field operations for upcoming assignments across Angola. The role is highly field‑oriented, requiring coordination with local authorities, civil society, and community stakeholders while ensuring high‑quality data collection and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and obtain local authorizations for research, assessment, and M&E activities in multiple provinces.
• Recruit, train, and supervise field teams, ensuring adherence to methodological standards.
• Manage data collection processes, monitor data quality, and oversee data entry and validation.
• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing progress updates and addressing operational challenges.
• Prepare field reports, dashboards, and deliverables for clients and partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing field operations for M&E, research, or third‑party monitoring projects in Angola or similar contexts.
• Strong knowledge of local administrative structures, civil society networks, and community engagement practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and handle logistical complexities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Portuguese proficiency is an advantage.
