AIC & CFS Consultant – Remote (5 months) – Angola

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a National AIC and CFS Consultant to support the implementation of education interventions in the provinces of Huíla and Cunene, Angola. The consultancy is remote‑based for five months, with occasional field missions to the two provinces.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical, coordination and monitoring support for the AIC (Accelerated Integrated Curriculum) and CFS (Child Friendly Schools) interventions.
• Work under the supervision of the Education Specialist and collaborate closely with the UNICEF Education team and relevant government counterparts.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, data collection and analysis, and ensure alignment with UNICEF’s education standards.
• Facilitate communication between field teams, government officials and community stakeholders.
• Travel to Huíla and Cunene as required for field missions and on‑site monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience managing education programmes.
• Fluency in Portuguese is essential.
• Previous experience working with the United Nations system and government counterparts.
• Knowledge of the CFS and AIC approaches is an asset.
• Preference for candidates based in Huíla or Cunene and experience with community engagement or SBC.
