Site Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Saipem is looking for a Site Maintenance Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of industrial facilities, machinery and infrastructure in Angola. You will design preventive maintenance strategies, troubleshoot breakdowns and manage budgets to maximise equipment reliability while minimising downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Define structure and classification of onboard equipment and technical site assets.
• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, ensuring uniform application of the maintenance model across all areas.
• Issue work orders monthly, prioritize jobs, and manage spares and manpower availability.
• Operate the AMOS Asset Management system, reporting daily updates, improvements and deviations.
• Prepare and analyse technical reports, KPI dashboards and maintenance performance metrics.
• Develop, implement and improve CMMS workflows, leading on‑site CMMS training.
• Participate in asset criticality assessments, root‑cause failure analyses and critical spares identification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in industrial, manufacturing or facilities maintenance.
• Fluent in Portuguese and professional English.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Root‑cause analysis and equipment troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Experience with AMOS (Asset Management Operating System) and CMCM/CMMS tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
