Rotating Equipment Analyst

About the role

Join our dynamic team as a Rotating Equipment Analyst in the thriving LNG sector. This role lets you apply your expertise in rotating equipment and vibration analysis while based in Soyo, Angola. You will be essential to maintaining reliability and efficiency of operations for a leading energy player.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct day‑to‑day equipment condition monitoring and vibration data collection using advanced analytical tools.
• Analyze and predict pump performance and perform used lube oil analysis to optimise reliability.
• Implement and operate plant reliability and integrity systems for long‑term viability.
• Generate equipment condition monitoring reports to meet reliability targets.
• Develop new systems for monitoring plant performance and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Perform root‑cause failure analysis and provide recommendations to prevent future failures.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure nationalisation and competency‑assurance targets are met.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations and technical teams to enhance equipment reliability.
• Champion equipment reliability reporting and establish company‑level reliability metrics.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience with rotating equipment in petrochemical or LNG plants.
• Grade 12 diploma required; preferred degree in Mechanical Engineering specialising in rotating equipment.
• Vibration Analyst ISO Level II certification and experience with used lube oil analysis.
• Strong competence in Bentley Nevada and other trending analysis software.
• Expertise in industrial gas turbines, gas compressors and centrifugal pumps.
• Familiarity with SAP PM modules (CMMS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
