Site Civil Engineer

About the role

EDECS is looking for a Site Civil Engineer to supervise and coordinate on‑site construction activities across its infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will ensure that work follows approved drawings, specifications, schedules and complies with quality, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily site construction activities, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications and project timelines.
• Review technical designs and shop drawings for accuracy before implementation.
• Coordinate with the Construction Manager, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain smooth workflow.
• Inspect materials and workmanship, monitor progress and enforce quality standards.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental regulations on site.
• Track daily activities and prepare progress reports for management.
• Participate in site meetings, resolve issues and propose solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, assist with cost estimates, scheduling and resource planning when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience as a site engineer.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
