Dimensional Control Lead – Angola (Luanda)

About the role

The Dimensional Control (DC) Lead ensures precise measurements through advanced surveying techniques, collaborating with Operations Managers, Project Managers and other stakeholders to deliver dimensional control surveys efficiently while aligning with Oceaneering’s Health, Safety, and Environmental and Quality Management programs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys in project locations, ensuring precise measurements and alignment with project specifications.
• Lead Dimensional Control activities within budget, including layout, as‑built surveys and vessel calibration surveys.
• Validate measurements against technical drawings, CAD models and client requirements, and approve metrology results.
• Maintain accurate records of all measurements, reports and calibration logs, and generate comprehensive survey reports.
• Identify and resolve measurement discrepancies, recommending corrective actions and adopting new DC technologies.
• Prepare survey drawings and reports using AutoCAD, Excel and Word, and liaise with client representatives.
• Provide guidance, mentorship and training to junior Dimensional Control team members.
• Participate in HSE and Quality Management programs, conduct job hazard assessments and implement safety controls on‑site.

Required profile

• Geomatics‑related two‑year degree (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum three years of Dimensional Control survey experience (topographic background may be considered).
• Proficiency with survey technology such as Total Station and GNSS.
• Strong skills in survey calculations, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to execute surveying, calculations, drawings and related reports independently.
• Must be able to obtain a valid passport and any required offshore work documentation.
