Senior Medical Information Delegate

About the role

Shalina Angola is hiring a Senior Medical Information Delegate for an assigned territory in Angola. The role promotes the company's pharmaceutical products and gives healthcare professionals accurate scientific information, while supporting promotional strategies, building relationships with key stakeholders, monitoring market performance and guiding junior delegates.

Key responsibilities

• Promote pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, with evidence-based information on indications, benefits, dosage, contraindications and precautions.
• Plan and carry out regular visits to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and other facilities, and develop territory plans aligned with medical and commercial objectives.
• Monitor product performance, market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback, and identify ways to improve product awareness and market penetration.
• Achieve sales, promotional activity and territory coverage targets, and report visits, interactions and activities accurately.
• Support product launches, promotional campaigns, scientific meetings and product presentations, and collect market intelligence and competitor information.
• Coach and mentor junior delegates, support onboarding and training of new team members, and help management identify territory development opportunities.
• Report product complaints and potential adverse events, and prepare territory performance reports.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Nursing or another relevant life science field; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Relevant certification in pharmaceutical sales, medical representation, scientific communication or product promotion is an advantage.
• 4-6 years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or related fields, including territory management and commercial performance.
• Valid driving licence preferred; must be legally authorized to work in Angola.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medical and pharmacological concepts, and scientific communication.
• Territory planning, customer segmentation, sales reporting and market intelligence gathering.
• Microsoft Office and relevant CRM systems.
• Ability to travel frequently within the territory and to meet stakeholders independently.
