Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead our finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust internal controls. The role will involve managing end‑to‑end accounting processes, supporting budgeting, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and process all financial transactions using SAP Business One, including AP, AR, GL entries, and payroll.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end close activities, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial statements.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure correct inventory valuation and cost accounting.
• Monitor cash flow, perform bank reconciliations, and optimize working capital.
• Conduct internal audits, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide management with financial analysis, KPI reporting, and insights for decision‑making.
• Assist with statutory audit preparation, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., MCOM, MBA Finance, CMA‑inter, CA‑inter) are highly desirable.
• Proven accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Fluency in English; Portuguese is a plus.

Required skills

• SAP Business One (SAP B1) proficiency.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
