Receiving Associate

About the role

Rural King is looking for a Receiving Associate to manage the flow of merchandise from the dock to the sales floor. The role involves accurate receipt of shipments, inventory verification, and supporting store operations through timely freight handling.

Key responsibilities

• Receive shipments, process purchase orders, and document receipts using scan guns and inventory systems.
• Identify and communicate any purchase order, distribution center, or vendor discrepancies.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store, including store‑to‑store transfers and UPS shipments.
• Replenish merchandise on the sales floor and assist during high‑demand periods.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area while adhering to company SOPs.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in receiving, warehouse, inventory, or freight operations (preferred).
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory management software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
• Dependable, flexible, and willing to learn.
