QHSE Specialist - Angola Base

About the role

EnerMech provides integrated technical, engineering and asset-management services for complex energy and infrastructure projects, in offshore and onshore oil and gas operations. As QHSE Specialist for the Angola base, you will strengthen management systems, support site and project teams and help drive continual improvement in quality, safety, health and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide QHSE functional support to the Angola business and lead site certification for ISO 9001:2015
• Manage the site business risk register and support project risk assessments
• Manage the internal audit plan, run audits, support client and external audits and follow up corrective actions
• Monitor and report QHSE KPIs, trends and performance to senior and group management
• Support NCR, incident and near-miss investigations using root-cause techniques
• Coordinate emergency preparedness plans, drills, inspections, site visits and safe systems of work
• Give QHSE input into project planning, mobilisation, operations and project documentation
• Maintain and improve the Business Management System, including document creation, review and approval
• Lead safety initiatives, act as QHSE subject-matter expert, coordinate health surveillance and support business units in meeting QHSE objectives

Required profile

• Knowledge and experience of QHMS such as ISO 9001, API Q1, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, plus auditing standards such as ISO 19011
• Experience creating and implementing quality and safety process standards
• Material control, identification, traceability and segregation; non-conformity and incident management with root cause analysis
• Incident investigation and management of change
• Good working knowledge of risk assessment

Preferred qualifications

• Internal and external QHSE audit experience
• Internal auditor qualification, preferably lead auditor, under Annex SL standards
• NEBOSH certificate
• CQP (MCQI), CQE (ASQ) or IOSH membership
• QHSE information for tenders, lifting/hydraulic/piping/valve engineering, offshore regulations and survival and medical training
