Production Applications Engineer III – Artificial Lift Systems

About the role

Weatherford is seeking an experienced Production Applications Engineer to join its Artificial Lift Systems (ALS) team in Luanda, Angola. The role focuses on supporting the tendering process for ALS products, primarily Reciprocating Rod Lift (RRL) and Jet pumps, and adding technical and commercial value to proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for ALS tender opportunities.
• Collaborate with Technical Sales, Operations, SMEs, QHSE, Finance, and Legal to ensure compliance with Weatherford and customer requirements.
• Identify, control, and mitigate risks in tender documents while maximizing opportunities.
• Collect and analyse tender information, including win/loss data, market pricing, and competitor positioning.
• Maintain adherence to corporate governance, safety, security, and quality standards throughout all activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production applications engineering within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of artificial lift technologies, especially Reciprocating Rod Lift and Jet pumps.
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives that improve tender processes.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
