People Operations Partner

About the role

Svitzer is seeking a People Operations Partner to support its growing workforce in Angola. The role is hands‑on, covering the full employee lifecycle for both shore‑based staff and marine vessel crews, and contributes to the company’s Angolanisation strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment and workforce planning for shore staff, vessel crew, cadets and trainees.
• Design and deliver learning, development, onboarding and workforce development programmes.
• Provide operational HR advice, manage routine employee‑relations matters and support employees throughout their lifecycle.
• Support employee engagement, performance management, organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel to operational sites such as Soyo as needed to assist business units.

Required profile

• Angolan national, committed to developing local talent.
• Experience in operational HR, recruitment, learning & development, and employee relations.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with leaders and employees.
• Proactive mindset for improving HR processes and employee experience.
