Gender Equality & Social Inclusion Specialist (Non-Key Expert)

About the role

NTU International seeks a Non‑Key Expert to embed gender equality and social inclusion throughout the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme, ensuring inclusive participation and equitable access to emerging opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate gender equality and social inclusion considerations across all programme activities.
• Conduct gender analysis and develop sex‑disaggregated indicators for monitoring.
• Facilitate inclusive stakeholder participation and gender‑responsive communication.
• Support gender‑responsive implementation and promote equitable access to space‑related opportunities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in gender studies, social sciences, development studies or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in gender equality, social inclusion or inclusive development in international cooperation.
• At least 4 years designing and applying gender‑responsive approaches in donor‑funded programmes, including training and communication.
• Demonstrated ability to work with EU institutions and African partners.

Required skills

• Excellent command of English.
• Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese (asset).
• Familiarity with EU external‑action gender policy and experience in Africa (asset).
• Ability to produce gender‑responsive communication materials.
