International Legal Consultant for Food Fortification Strategy

About the role

UNICEF Angola seeks an International Legal Consultant to support the drafting and finalisation of legislation required for the National Food Fortification Strategy. The role is home‑based and will last for three months, providing technical and legal assistance to the Government of Angola.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal and technical assistance to develop, review and finalise the legal and regulatory framework for the Food Fortification Strategy.
• Ensure alignment with international standards, national nutrition priorities and Angola’s political and legal context.
• Prepare high‑quality reports and presentations for government stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience developing policies, strategies and guidance documents for government approval.
• At least one year of experience providing legal assistance to government entities.
• Solid knowledge of Angola’s political, operational and legal environment.

Required skills

• Legal drafting and policy development.
• Excellent report‑writing and presentation skills.
• Strong coordination and multicultural communication abilities.
