International Legal Consultant for Food Fortification Strategy

About the role

UNICEF Angola seeks an International Legal Consultant to support the Government of Angola in drafting, reviewing and finalising the legal and regulatory framework for the National Food Fortification Strategy, aligning with international standards and national nutrition priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and legal assistance to develop, review and finalise legislation and regulations required for the Food Fortification Strategy.
• Coordinate with government entities and UNICEF teams to ensure alignment with policy objectives and legal standards.
• Prepare high‑quality reports and presentations summarising legal analyses and recommendations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience developing policies, strategies and guidance documents for government approval.
• At least one year of experience providing legal assistance to government entities.
• Solid knowledge of Angola’s political, operational and legal context.

Required skills

• Excellent report‑writing and presentation skills.
• Strong coordination and communication abilities in a multicultural environment.
